Sales Representative

Job Summary

• We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Sales Representative to actively prospect for customers, visit businesses and project sites, and grow sales through lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers, including wholesalers, hardware retailers, furniture makers, carpenters, builders, contractors and interior designers.
• Conduct regular field visits to workshops, markets, shops and construction sites to introduce and sell our products.
• Present product samples, catalogues and approved prices, and recommend suitable products.
• Prepare quotations, follow up on enquiries and secure orders.
• Develop existing customer accounts and encourage repeat purchases.
• Meet agreed sales and new-customer acquisition targets.
• Coordinate with branches and delivery teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly.
• Follow up on outstanding customer payments in line with company credit policies.
• Maintain accurate records of customer visits, leads, orders and follow-up activities.
• Report customer feedback, competitor activity and new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND in Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of field sales experience, preferably in furniture hardware, building materials, wholesale or distribution.
• Proven ability to prospect for customers, negotiate and close sales.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and follow-up skills.
• Good knowledge of Lagos markets and willingness to travel regularly within Lagos.
• Ability to use WhatsApp Business, email and basic spreadsheets to manage customer enquiries and sales records.
• Self-motivated, organised, trustworthy and comfortable working towards sales targets.
• Existing relationships with furniture makers, wholesalers, builders or hardware retailers are an advantage.
• This role involves regular field sales and customer visits.

Remuneration

• Sales Incentives: commission and bonus.
