Sales Assistant

Working Days: Monday – Saturday
Working Hours:  9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a smart, proactive, and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join a fashion retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, driving sales, maintaining the store’s appearance, and ensuring customers have a pleasant shopping experience.

The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in fashion, excellent communication skills, and the ability to confidently assist customers with product selection and basic styling recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and attend to customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable products based on their preferences.
• Assist customers with product selection, sizing, styling, and general enquiries.
• Promote products and actively contribute to achieving sales targets.
• Process customer purchases and ensure accurate handling of sales transactions.
• Follow up with customers when necessary and maintain good customer relationships.
• Keep the store clean, organised, attractive, and well-presented at all times.
• Arrange and display clothing and other fashion items appropriately.
• Monitor product availability and notify management when items need to be restocked.
• Assist with receiving, arranging, tagging, and organising new stock.
• Respond to customer enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, social media, or other digital channels when required.
• Support promotional activities and assist with basic social media activities when needed.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and escalate unresolved issues to management.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with other administrative or sales-related duties as assigned.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of OND in any relevant field.
• Previous experience in **retail, fashion, sales, or customer service*is preferred.
• Strong interest in fashion and an understanding of basic styling.
• Customer-focused with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Good computer skills and ability to use basic digital tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Smart, proactive, and well-organised.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Social media knowledge is an added advantage.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
