Job Summary
- The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, supervising, and delivering large-scale earthworks and civil infrastructure projects from mobilisation through completion while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, budget, and programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bulk earthworks, site grading, excavation, filling, compaction, drainage, and related civil works.
- Coordinate project planning, mobilisation, execution, and close-out activities.
- Lead site engineers, surveyors, QAQC personnel, HSE officers, foremen, and equipment operators.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and productivity targets.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications.
- Review drawings, reports, construction methodologies, and work programmes.
- Coordinate client, consultant, and contractor interactions.
- Ensure proper utilisation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.
- Manage site resources, subcontractors, and project costs.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company procedures.
- Review and approve technical documentation, RFIs, and as-built records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing large-scale earthworks or civil infrastructure projects.
Technical Competencies:
- Earthworks quantity calculations.
- Site grading and level control.
- Project planning and scheduling.
- QAQC management.
- Cost control and resource planning.
- AutoCAD proficiency.
- MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Strong report-writing and communication skills.
