We are looking for a part-time Short Drama Content Consultant to support the development of short-form vertical drama content for the Nigerian market. This is a content and editorial role, not a filming, editing or production position.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate strong short-drama concepts, scripts and story formats suitable for Nigerian audiences.
- Recommend writers, script teams and other reliable script resources.
- Review scripts and provide practical notes on story structure, pacing, character motivation and commercial appeal.
- Identify strong hooks, emotional triggers, reversals, cliffhangers and episode-ending moments.
- Advise on Nigerian cultural relevance, audience taste and localisation.
- Develop clear content opinions and explain why a story is likely or unlikely to work.
- Support the creation of a repeatable pipeline for sourcing and assessing scripts.
Requirements
- Practical experience with short drama, vertical drama, web series or serialized digital content.
- Strong understanding of script development and audience retention.
- Existing relationships with Nigerian writers, scriptwriters or story-development teams are highly preferred.
- Strong taste and judgement regarding hooks, conflict, emotional payoff and viral or commercial potential.
- Able to work independently on a flexible, part-time basis and communicate clearly online.
- Knowledge of Nollywood and current Nigerian digital entertainment trends.
- Production, filming and editing experience is not required.
Engagement
- Part-time, remote and project-based.
- Initial paid trial assignment, with the possibility of ongoing cooperation.
- Compensation can be agreed as a fixed fee, per-project payment or other mutually agreed arrangement.
