We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Security Officer CSO to lead the company’s security operations and strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s people, assets, facilities, operations, and information across all locations.

The CSO will develop and implement effective security policies, risk management strategies, emergency response procedures, and security controls that support the company’s operational objectives and ensure a safe and secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and regularly review the company’s security policies, strategies, and procedures.
  • Oversee security operations across all company locations, including offices, stations, and operational facilities.
  • Manage and supervise all security personnel, ensuring effective deployment, routine checks, discipline, and compliance with approved procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security incidents and escalations within and outside the organization.
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure daily monitoring and logging of CCTV systems and promptly escalate suspicious activities or security threats.
  • Coordinate security incident response, investigations, and crisis management activities.
  • Maintain effective relationships with relevant security agencies, law enforcement authorities, community stakeholders, and other external security partners.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Monitor security trends and emerging threats and recommend proactive measures to protect the company’s operations and assets.
  • Manage security vendors, contractors, and third-party security service providers.
  • Conduct security awareness and emergency response training for employees.
  • Prepare and submit regular security reports, incident reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to Management.
  • Provide strategic security advice to Management on matters affecting the company’s people, assets, and operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in security management, with at least 3 years in a senior/leadership position.
  • Previous experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, or related industry will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of physical security systems, CCTV surveillance, access control, risk assessment, and incident management.
  • Proven experience managing security personnel across multiple locations.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and people-management skills.
  • Excellent crisis management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and threat assessment.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to security incidents and emergencies.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
