Role Summary
- This is a field-first, hunter role for someone who thrives on winning new business, not managing from behind a desk.
- You’ll take full ownership of business development — identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals — while laying the groundwork for a sales team as the function grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across architects, developers, contractors, corporate and residential clients
- Take full charge of the sales function — from prospecting to closing — with minimal need for oversight
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral partners, and industry stakeholders
- Represent the company at site visits, client meetings, and industry events largely field-based work
- Track pipeline and sales activity, and report on progress against targets
- Lay the foundation for a future sales team, including process and structure, as the business scales
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 5-10 years’ experience in sales, business development, or a related field
- Demonstrated passion for sales and a proven track record of winning and closing business
- Self-starter who can operate independently and take ownership of results
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
- Comfortable with a field-based, target-driven role
- Experience in furniture, interiors, construction, or building materials is an added advantage, but not required.
