Job Position: Accountant (ICAN Certified)

Job Summary

1. We are seeking to employ a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant (ICAN Certified) to join our team.
2. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, and supporting effective financial decision-making in a fast-paced technology environment.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS
2. Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
3. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting
4. Prepare and file VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT returns and ensure statutory compliance
5. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
6. Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
7. Coordinate internal and external audits and resolve audit queries
8. Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
9. Provide financial insights and reports to the Head of Finance and management

Job Qualifications

• Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ACA (ICAN) certification is required
• 5–7 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax laws
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, including QuickBooks, Oracle, and Zoho Books
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
