Videographer & Digital Content Production Officer

JOB PURPOSE

• We are seeking a creative, motivated and commercially minded Videographer & Digital Content Production Officer to document our aquaculture operations, produce engaging digital content and contribute to online marketing and sales.
• The successful candidate will work closely with the Digital Content, Publishing & Sales Officer based in Lafia.

Responsibility allocation:

• 60% — Videography, Photography and Field Content Production
• 40% — Video Editing, Digital Publishing, Marketing and Sales
• The successful candidate must be willing to develop competence in both areas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Videography and Photography — 60%

• Plan and film daily activities at our hatchery, nursery, feed mill and other company facilities.
• Record fish breeding, spawning, feeding, grading, harvesting, packaging and delivery operations.
• Capture professionally composed photographs and videos of fingerlings, juveniles, table-size fish and processed products.
• Produce practical educational videos explaining African catfish farming techniques.
• Film training activities, farm tours, technical demonstrations and staff interviews.
• Document customer testimonials, success stories and product deliveries.
• Develop original content featuring farm managers and technical staff.
• Maintain filming equipment, including cameras, smartphones, microphones, tripods and lighting accessories.
• Organise recorded materials within the company's digital content library.
• Travel between Kaduna and Lafia when required for planned content production.

Video Editing, Publishing and Digital Sales — 40%

• Edit short-form and longer-form videos for TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp.
• Add subtitles, captions, voiceovers, graphics and company branding.
• Collaborate on content calendars and promotional campaigns.
• Publish approved content across designated platforms.
• Assist with managing customer enquiries and comments.
• Promote fingerlings, juveniles, table-size catfish, aquaculture training and other products.
• Participate in customer lead generation, follow-up and sales conversion.
• Support livestreams, product demonstrations and online promotional campaigns.
• Work with the Lafia-based officer to maintain consistent digital branding.
• Produce weekly content and marketing activity reports.

MANDATORY PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP

• Before assuming full operational responsibilities in Kaduna, the selected candidate will undergo structured practical training and mentorship under Yinigeha Yiki and his team at Tiki Fish Farm & Smokehouse, subject to agreed training arrangements.
• Training will focus on:
• Commercial aquaculture videography.
• Smartphone and digital camera operation.
• Lighting, framing, sound recording and composition.
• Filming commercial fish farming and processing activities.
• Educational and promotional video storytelling.
• Video editing and post-production techniques.
• Creating engaging TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube videos.
• Social media publishing and audience development.
• Product marketing, lead generation and customer conversion.
• Practical content production and performance evaluation.
• The employee will be expected to demonstrate competence through practical assignments and feedback before deployment to the Kaduna operational site.
• Continuing mentorship may be arranged following deployment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential Requirements

• OND, HND, Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrable practical experience in Media Production, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Marketing or a related field.
• Ability to record high-quality video using a smartphone or digital camera.
• Familiarity with editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.
• Understanding of TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp Business.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in an active farm environment.
• Willingness to reside at the Kaduna farm and undertake occasional travel.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience producing agricultural, educational or product marketing videos.
• Photography or graphic design skills.
• Familiarity with social media analytics.
• Hausa language proficiency.
• Interest in aquaculture and agricultural entrepreneurship.

• Performance will be evaluated against agreed targets covering:
• Quality of photographs and videos captured.
• Number of usable video assets produced.
• Video editing quality and turnaround time.
• Compliance with weekly content production schedules.
• Social media engagement and audience growth.
• Qualified customer enquiries generated.
• Contribution to fish sales and training registrations.
• Professionalism, reliability and teamwork.
• Accuracy of weekly activity and performance reports.
