About the Role
Our client is looking for a Video Editor & Content Creator to edit video footage into engaging content and help the team identify relevant content trends and ideas. The primary responsibility is video editing, alongside researching emerging content formats and recommending ideas that can support our social media efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Edit raw footage, event recordings, interviews and existing video materials into engaging content for social media and other business needs.
Turn key moments from events, programmes and projects into short, compelling videos.
Research social media trends, popular video formats and emerging content styles relevant to our audience.
Recommend content ideas and formats based on current trends and what is working across social media platforms.
Support social media managers with video content recommendations and trend insights.
Shoot video footage during events, project visits and other activities when required.
What We’re Looking For
Proven video editing skills and the ability to turn raw footage into engaging content.
A portfolio showcasing previous video editing work is mandatory.
Good understanding of social media trends, short-form videos and popular content formats.
Ability to identify relevant content opportunities and communicate ideas clearly.
Good communication skills and the ability to work with a team.
Basic video shooting skills and familiarity with video editing tools.
Work Arrangement
This is a remote role, with occasional on-site filming when required. We may give preference to candidates based in Lagos or Ibadan due to potential filming requirements.
