Job Summary
- You will serve as Pharmacy Assistant/Nurse and to support the pharmacist in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service and Sales: Greet customers and answer basic questions, process over-the-counter OTC sales and handle cash/credit or POS transactions. Refer all medication-related questions to the pharmacist.
- Prescription Support: Receive written or electronic prescriptions from customers. Prepare labels, count pills and package medications for pharmacist verification.
- Inventory Management: Receive, unpack and stock pharmaceutical deliveries, check expiry dates and rotate stock FIFO- first in, first out, monitor low-stock items and alert the pharmacist for reordering. Maintain cleanliness of shelves and storage areas.
- Administrative: Maintain patient confidentiality, schedule patient consultations, file prescription records.
- Pharmacy Maintenance: Maintain clean workstation, counter. Ensure proper disposal of expired or damaged medications. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols.
