Reconciliation & Settlement Officer

Role Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled reconciliation analyst to join our Payments Operations team.
• The purpose of this role is for Kuda to achieve complete, timely and accurate analysis and settlement of all agency banking transactions made, in accordance with International Accounting Standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure daily reconciliation of all POS transactions and settling partners according to agreed SLA
• Identify, investigate, and escalate outstanding items to switch and other third parties for prompt resolution
• Liaise with banks and vendors on settlement discrepancies
• Attend to POS merchant disputes daily and ensure no chargeback defaults to system
• Liaise with the Product and technical team to resolve issues around POS transactions
• Ensure Daily validation of transaction posting to GLs
• Respond to general inquiries directed to Settlement from support or service areas
• Ensure that suspense items do not exceed the established timeline designated for each type of exception
• Share daily/monthly reports on activities done

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in payments reconciliation
• Attention to details
• Accountability and ownership.
• Excellent communication skills

• Collaborative skills
