Procurement Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer to manage end-to-end procurement activities for oil and gas projects.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, expertise in sourcing technical materials and equipment, vendor management, and the ability to ensure technical compliance and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Source materials, equipment, and services from local and international vendors.
• Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and process purchase orders.
• Review technical specifications, engineering drawings, and vendor documentation.
• Manage supplier relationships, pricing discussions, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate logistics, inspections, and material delivery to project sites.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline a B.Sc in Engineering is non-negotiable
• 8–15 years of experience in procurement or project engineering within the oil and gas or heavy industry sector.
• Proven experience in RFQs, bid evaluations, technical procurement, and vendor management.
• Strong understanding of engineering specifications, API/ASME/ISO standards, and international sourcing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
