Pipeline Business Operations Analyst

Job Summary

• We are seeking a proactive and technically oriented Pipeline Business Operations Analyst to support the Pipeline Business Operations Manager in ensuring uninterrupted gas supply to consumers and the reliable operation of the gas distribution system. The role will oversee the maintenance of the gas distribution system and ensure all gas equipment remains safe, reliable, and in good working condition. The incumbent will also be responsible for accurately capturing and analysing operational data to support decision-making, preparing necessary reports for regulatory submission and management information, and directly managing the organisation’s Computerized Maintenance Management System CMMS to support effective asset lifecycle management and operational efficiency.

Job Details

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates maintenance activities with O&M service providers using CMMS
• Reviews metering reports and recommendations for approval
• Prepares periodic operations reports for the Operations Manager’s review; highlights issue and provides suggestions for addressing problems noted/complaints from customers
• Conducts equipment performance analysis of O&M service providers and recommendations as necessary
• Provides necessary assistance and support for other utility maintenance and repair works
• Collates and analyses data for proactive and effective maintenance and planning
• Prepares scope of works for non-routine operational tasks purchase of new technology
• Continuously searches the industry for new technologies towards improving efficiency
• Updates work procedures as necessary and ensures compliance to the Integrated Management Standard
• Ensures HSE guidelines are followed in the use, repairs and maintenance of all gas pipeline facilities and installations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with a minimum of Second Class Honours. 
• Minimum of three 3 years’ relevant experience in gas distribution, pipeline operations, engineering operations, maintenance, or a related function.
• Demonstrated ability to capture and analyse operational data to support decision-making, operational efficiency, and asset performance.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively support the maintenance and reliable operation of gas distribution systems and equipment.
