Job Summary
Responsible for teaching Mathematics and Physics to secondary school students, developing their analytical and problem-solving skills, and preparing them for internal and external examinations, including WAEC and NECO.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school curriculum.
- Prepare lesson notes, assignments, tests, and examination materials.
- Simplify complex concepts using practical examples and ICT resources.
- Assess students’ performance, provide feedback, and organise remedial lessons where necessary.
- Maintain classroom discipline and accurate academic records.
- Monitor students’ progress and contribute to improved academic outcomes.
- Participate in departmental meetings and other school activities.

- Strong knowledge of Mathematics and Physics.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Effective lesson planning and assessment skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in ICT and modern teaching methods.

Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Mathematics Education, Physics Education, or a related discipline.
- Teaching qualification such as B.Ed. or PGDE is an advantage.
- TRCN registration is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant secondary school teaching experience preferred.
- Experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and other external examinations is an advantage.
