Operations Officer - Market Central

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Operation Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Market Centra platform.
• The role will be responsible for managing vendors, listings, marketplace activities, customer issues and operational processes to ensure a reliable and seamless experience for users.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Market Centra platform and marketplace activities.
• Manage vendor onboarding, verification, activation and ongoing compliance with platform requirements.
• Monitor product, service and business listings to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with platform standards.
• Develop and maintain efficient processes for vendor management, transactions, complaints and issue resolution.
• Monitor marketplace activity and identify operational issues that may affect buyers, sellers or platform performance.
• Coordinate with the technology team to report and resolve platform-related operational issues.
• Monitor orders, transactions, cancellations, disputes and other marketplace activities.
• Work closely with Customer Support to resolve customer and vendor complaints promptly.
• Track vendor performance and take appropriate action where service standards are not met.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and user satisfaction.

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics or a related field.
• 2 – 3 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketplaces, online retail, fintech, technology or a related industry.
• Experience managing vendors, merchants, customers or marketplace operations.
• Strong understanding of online marketplace operations and digital platforms.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant digital tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with marketplace, e-commerce or fintech platforms is an added advantage
