Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer

Job Description

• Ensure that heavy duty vehicles are properly wedged before the commence of offloading and loading.
• Review and sign off on permit to work PTW logs before the commencement of maintenance activities or civil works.
• Ensure all incoming vehicles and outgoing vehicles follows site speed limit 10km/h max
• Ensure spilled plastic pellets or trimmed waste are cleared immediately using anti-slip protocols to prevent forklift skidding or slip injuries.
• Act as the certified On-site first aid commander during shifts. Personally administer immediate first aid care for common incidents and manage emergency medical evacuation logistics if required.
• Conduct intensive floor and yard patrols during shift, to monitor drivers, loaders and operator alertness during day to day operations.

Major Requirements

• B.Sc/HND in occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
• Minimum of two years' relevant experience in HSE,Environmental health and safety, facility management, or safety management.
• Professional Certification e.g.,NISCN may be an added advantage.
