Job Position: Deputy Engineer – Electrical Maintenance

Job Location: Ibese Plant, Ogun

Job Summary

1. To provide adequate maintenance support to the sections operations to reduce downtime
2. To reduce downtime of equipment through adequate preventive maintenance
3. To ensure steady and optimal availability of equipment to meet set targets

Job Summary

1. Installation, testing , operation & maintenance of electrical equipment with optimum quality & safety
2. Responsible for trouble free operation of electrical equipment of assigned area.
3. Spare management for smooth plant operation.
4. Daily job allocation & technical guidance to subordinates.
5. Responsible for compliance of safety measures
6. Responsible for housekeeping of his/her work area.
7. Execution of all work orders well in time with quality and safety.
8. Assists superiors in all endeavors.
9. Prepares various reports & documentation such as power report / maintenance checklist, daily job reports etc.
10. Imparts training to subordinates.
11. Executes the maintenance and servicing of Circuit Breakers, Transformers, MCC, PCC, MV & LV Switch Boards, Battery Charger, Plant Lighting/Earthling System, HT/LT Motors, VFD, HT/LT Cables, and Air Conditioning System etc.

Job Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
2. Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification relevant experience.

Technical Skill:

• Knowledge and work experience of Low, Medium and High Voltage system (i.e. IMCC/PCC/MV & LV switch boards etc.), HT/LT Motors, Transformer, Substation’s Indoor/outdoor equipment, Generator, cables & cable termination, Plant lighting/earthing system, Electrical measuring & testing equipment, Electrical and electronic Diagram and its interpretation, Basics of Computer , AC/ DC drives, Battery charger, Air conditioning system etc.

Skills, Competencies and Behaviours:

1. Good knowledge of cement products and cement manufacturing processes
2. Expert knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System),
3. Extensive knowledge electrical engineering and industrial automation,
4. Good knowledge of safety legislation and rules
5. Good knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and TPM
