Job Summary

1. We are looking for an accountant who understands that working in a consulting firm requires more than routine bookkeeping.
2. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring transactions, supporting financial planning, managing reporting, and ensuring strong financial controls across the business.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain accurate and up to date financial records and accounting entries
2. Prepare monthly financial reports, management accounts, and financial summaries
3. Monitor income, expenses, invoices, payments, and receivables
4. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
5. Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records regularly
6. Prepare and monitor budgets, cash flow, and expenditure
7. Track project related expenses and support financial monitoring across creative projects
8. Ensure proper documentation and approval of financial transactions
9. Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on receivables
10. Support payroll preparation and other routine financial processes
11. Maintain organised digital accounting records and supporting documentation
12. Assist management with financial analysis and decision making
13. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting principles, tax requirements, and internal financial procedures
14. Identify financial discrepancies, control weaknesses, and potential risks, and recommend appropriate solutions

Job Qualifications

1. Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
2. Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
3. Professional accounting qualification or relevant professional certification is an advantage
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
6. Excellent numerical and analytical skills
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
9. Excellent communication and organisational skills
10. Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple financial responsibilities
11. Previous experience working with a creative agency, media company, advertising company, technology company, or other project based business is an advantage.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
