New Star Metal International Limited is a company that manufactures Aluminum ingot and package non-ferrous metals for exportation.

Job Position: Account Officer

Job Qualifications

1. B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or a related accounting discipline.
2. ICAN or ANAN qualification, or progress towards professional qualification, is an added advantage.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Experience:

• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in trading, manufacturing, recycling, distribution, or inventory-intensive operations is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in supplier and customer account reconciliation, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.

Technical Competencies:

1. Preparation of cashbooks, journals, ledgers, payment vouchers, and bank reconciliations.
2. Inventory reconciliation and investigation of stock discrepancies.
3. Monitoring of supplier advances, customer balances, and outstanding receivables.
4. Preparation of daily cash reports, monthly management accounts, and profit and loss statements.
5. Analysis of product margins, logistics costs, operating expenses, and transaction profitability.
6. Strong Excel skills and the ability to maintain accurate, well-organised accounting records.

Salary
N160,000 – N170,000 / month.
